Flee from Babylon... AKA Modern American Christianity

Blinding, powerful, religious delusion | January 21, 2012

Have you seen the Why I love Jesus But Hate Religion video?  The young brother in the video may over generalize a little bit, but I give it a HUGE thumbs up.  If you haven’t seen the video here it is.

“A poem I wrote to highlight the difference between Jesus and false religion.”

Now, here is a satanic catholic priest’s response to the video.  For this cause God shall send them strong delusion.

”The purpose of this video is to do a response from a Catholic perspective, in a spirit of love, but also with a spirit of passion to defend our Mother the Church”

Ah, mother, the unrepentant drunken whore and imposter of the bride of Christ… what can be said in her defense?

2Co 11:1-4  Would to God ye could bear with me a little in my folly: and indeed bear with me. For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.

If you belong to a Church that is involved in uniting with catholics you need to run for your life.  That is a false unity.  Hear Christ’s effectual call to come out from among them.

  1. Can you imagine what it will be like for this “priest” guy at the judgment seat, to be bound hand and foot cast into everlasting fire. This man will have far greater damnation than any abortion doctor will unless, by the grace of God, he repents. That should put a holy fear of God in all of us. This is not a joke, though most peoples “religion” is. This is eternity. This is the imposter bride of Christ claiming to speak for him.

This isnt a confilcting view point on Jesus, like two people with different political views. This is the kingdom of Christ and the kingdom of Anti Christ. You can not serve God and devils.

    • Those who join in “christian unity” with catholics help strengthen the whore and giver her false validation. Why not help build the abortion clinic to show the doctors how much you love them?

The thing about strong delusion is that it is a special judgement for professing Christians. We are warned so many times about the apostasy in the last days. I know catholic people that I long to see come out. I know evangelical people that I long to see come out of this too. By the grace of God it is possible. I will not be a helper in their damnation though and pretend to be brothers and sisters in Christ with minor doctrinal differences. Knowing the fear of the Lord we pursuade men (and women).

  2. Wow, great find on the Catholic perspective! And shall we ignore the history of the Catholic Church, that it is full of the blood of the Saints by it’s own hand? I think not. I’ve been reading Foxe’s Book of the Martyrs lately. Great testimony of how God sent men and women to testify against the whore of Babylon, but they were tortured and burned. But this only scratches the surface of her abominations.

6 I saw the woman, drunk with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. (Rev. 17:6)

But surely her day of judgement will arrive.

4 And I heard another voice from heaven saying, “Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues. 5 For her sins have reached[b] to heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities. 6 Render to her just as she rendered to you, and repay her double according to her works; in the cup which she has mixed, mix double for her. 7 In the measure that she glorified herself and lived luxuriously, in the same measure give her torment and sorrow; for she says in her heart, ‘I sit as queen, and am no widow, and will not see sorrow.’ 8 Therefore her plagues will come in one day—death and mourning and famine. And she will be utterly burned with fire, for strong is the Lord God who judges her. (Rev. 18:4-8)

The only difference between those Saints and us is that we currently have a freedom and light to share unobstructed.

  3. That they all may be one; as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be one in us:

that the world may believe that you have sent me.

    And the glory which you gave me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: I in them, and you in me, that they may be made perfect in one;

and that the world may know that you have sent me,

and have loved them, as you have loved me.
    (John 17:21-23)

If the guy in the costume could spend time with a true NT church, which is one people in love (as in the text above) he may even get saved and leave the Catholics. When the true is lived out before him, then it’s possible he may realize that what he believes is false, and nothing to do with what Jesus meant or commanded.

    .
    .
Same goes with the young guy. He may alter his message slightly if he were exposed to a functioning NT church. (But it’s not clear from his video what he believes about fellowship and church)

    .
They could also see it in the NT without seeing an example in real life, yet in the verses above it’s clear that our LORD was speaking about a true expression of Him in His church which would be a witness to the world. It’s supposed to be a love that people can see lived out as “church”, as it was in the beginning.

  4. Paul said that many preach a different jesus, a different gospel, and have a different spirit. More and more so as we approach that last day. The rightouss will scarcely be saved. Jesus said the very elect of God would be deceived if that were possible. If you are coasting through your Christian life, with no real concern about the day we live in, no real love for Christ in truth, for obeying His word, for following Him from a heart of love and worship.. how will you escape. Give your life for Him and His kingdom – not for mans religous organizations!

  5. Some info from here:

    quote

This month, January, a young man, Jefferson (Jeff) Bethke, who attends contemplative advocate Mark Driscoll’s church, Mars Hill in Washington state, posted a video on YouTube called “Why I Hate Religion, But Love Jesus.” Within hours, the video had over 100,000 hits. Soon it reached over 14 million hits, according to the Washington Post, one of the major media that has spotlighted the Bethke’s video (actual hits has now reached nearly 17 million as of 01-26-12).

The Bethke video is a poem Bethke wrote and recites in a rap-like fashion his thoughts and beliefs. Interestingly, liberals and “new” emerging spirituality figures alike seem to be resonating with Bethke’s message and are shouting it from the rooftops. Emerging church journalist Jim Wallis (founder of Sojourners) is one who picked up on Bethke’s video, writing:

Bethke’s work challenges his listeners to second guess their preconceived notions about what it means to be a Christian. He challenges us to turn away from the superficial trappings of “religion,” and instead lead a missional life in Christ.1

Jeff Bethke’s video was too generalized, that even the emergent wackos love it. They are saying the same thing, that they love Jesus and hate religion.

Bethke goes to Mark Driscoll’s church, which may help to know where he’s coming from.

    • Thanks for the info Ian. It was definately to general so I made sure to add that disclaimer in the original post. My post was actually based on the catholic response. The emergent movement is the devils counterfit to God calling His elect out of apostate Churches.

      • This comes down to the liberal and conservative religous and political spirits that dominate america. There is error on both sides.
