Gen 5:24 Enoch walked with God, and he was not, for God took him.
Hebrews 11:5 By faith Enoch was taken up so that he should not see death, and he was not found, because God had taken him. Now before he was taken he was commended as having pleased God.
Today many church people walk with political parties, with the world, and with religous denominations … but who walks with God? That is something the most dedicated religionist can not muster from human effort or through an empty profession of faith (though they flatter themselves to the contrary).
To walk with God, to be consumed by the reality of Jesus Christ within you – the hope of glory. I was baptized as a child – who cares, do you walk with God? I believe in such and such doctrine – big deal, do you walk with God? I attend a bible believing church – so what, do you walk with God?
Awesome Christ glorifying song on the subject

This post at Ians site is what started my thinking
Amen, at the end of the day, that’s what it’s all about and what really matters.
