Seeking testimony against Jesus

Now the chief priests and the whole Council were seeking testimony against Jesus to put him to death, but they found none.   For many bore false witness against him, but their testimony did not agree. -Mark 14:55-56

The chief priests of christendom (denominations, cults, rome) continue to seek testimony against Jesus that they might put him to death.  They seek the testimony of numbers, dollars, bodies, buildings, programs, power, influence, praise from men, etc, that they may prove the simplicity of faith in Jesus Christ to be a fraud and their man-made kingdoms to be the way and the truth.  Yet their testimonies do not agree with each other or with the word of God.

The religious crowd will seek testimony against you personally true believer, because Christ lives within you.  This is how they operate; they seek to put to death Christ wherever they find him.  If you are sitting in one of their pews, they will seek to kill Christ within you by way of empty religion that leads you away from New Testament truth and reality.  If you have come out from their midst their ways will become much more obvious.  They will make all kinds of false claims about you not being willing to submit to authority, being judgmental, a cult member, etc.

And some began to spit on him and to cover his face and to strike him, saying to him, “Prophesy!” And the guards received him with blows. And as Peter was below in the courtyard, one of the servant girls of the high priest came, and seeing Peter warming himself, she looked at him and said, “You also were with the Nazarene, Jesus.” But he denied it, saying, “I neither know nor understand what you mean.” And he went out into the gateway and the rooster crowed. -Mark 14:65-68

Like Peter, they seek to intimidate you and make you ashamed of your relationship with Christ outside of their religious institution. Not long after this night Peter found fellowship in truth with the saints outside of the dead religious system. This is my prayer for all of my freinds who have fled Babylon. Christ has prayed for you too and He has already overcome the world and its false christianity. Stay faithful to Him – even when they seek to put you to death with Him.

Most of the saints I have fellowshipped with have gone off to the mission field or been scattered by wolves. We are almost in a wilderness situation now too. I love spending time with saints, in spirit and in truth. I dont want to be in the wilderness any longer than the Lord would have me for His purposes. I love my brothers and sisters – you know where and who you are because you too were orphans serving the devil (even in a religious position) and my heavenly father adopted you into His family also!

Thanks be to God for the unspeakable riches and mercy that He has given us through the cross of Christ. Oh that this truth would set my heart on blazing fire again like it did Peter on the day of Pentacost.
