all who believed were together

Acts 2:44 And all who believed were together and had all things in common. And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.

Acts 4:31 And when they had prayed, the place in which they were gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and continued to speak the word of God with boldness. Now the full number of those who believed were of one heart and soul, and no one said that any of the things that belonged to him was his own, but they had everything in common. And with great power the apostles were giving their testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great grace was upon them all. There was not a needy person among them, for as many as were owners of lands or houses sold them and brought the proceeds of what was sold and laid it at the apostles’ feet, and it was distributed to each as any had need

Why settle for fake? Once you expereince the presence of Jesus among His saints empty religion will no longer satisfy you. Eating cardboard may keep you alive and limping along, and may seem normal if you surround yourself with others that do the same. Sitting with Jesus and His bride at a love feast will ruin you for that empty way of life though.

The LORD saw that there was a fellowship in which He could ADD TO safely, so that the ones He births into that fellowship will be safe and find “good pasture” and be fed the truth.
Maybe, He expects a similar quality of fellowship today, so that He can add to it?

There is nothing better that sharing your life with brothers and sisters in Christ (as opposed to sharing a pew and an occasional pot luck). For those who go to an institutional church the best I can explain it is it is like sharing your life with your best friends – in fact closer than friends. Jesus is the center of all you do – and its not forced becuase His Spirit is there so it is easy for Him to be the center of all you do. We have grieved away the Holy Spirit for so long with empty religion that it takes a true repentance to come to this place. True love will follow though.
