Wilderness saints among wilderness wolves

A small number of people leave the institutional church bcos they cannot sincerely reconcile what is happening there with the truth and standard of scripture, but a growing number are leaving bcos they are religious wackos

I totally agree with this observation.  This is why I no more identify with the house church, organic church, or simple church movements than I do a denomination or institution. Best to not align yourself with any movement brethren, beware of over-reactionism and use the whole council of God as your anchor rather than whatever wind OR COUNTER-WIND of doctrine is blowing through the lost world of christendom.

We live in a day where the very elect will be deceived if that were possible,  a day where the cure is often worse than the disease.  People swing from pharisaical fundamentalism to liberal sadducee-ism. From roman catholics to cult members.  From abusive patriarchy theology to worldly feminism.  From error on the left hand to error on the right.  From organized churchainity to everyone doing what is right in their own eyes.

    Amos 5

Woe to you who desire the day of the Lord! For what good is the day of the Lord to you?
It will be darkness, and not light. It will be as though a man fled from a lion, And a bear met him!
Or as though he went into the house, Leaned his hand on the wall, And a serpent bit him!
