Ask RC: Is it permissible to hold a communion service without an ordained minister being present to administer the sacrament?

Answer: Probably not…

It is very common to find such roman catholic teachings being taught by ‘reformed’ preachers!  Just two weeks ago one of the elder brothers at our meeting mentioned that we should feel free to celebrate the Lords supper in our homes, in our meetings with other believers, etc and not just on Sundays at our larger gathering.

You are witnesses, and God also, how devoutly and justly and blamelessly we behaved ourselves among you who believe; as you know how we exhorted, and comforted, and charged every one of you, as a father does his own children,  that you would walk worthy of God who calls you into His own kingdom and glory. -1 Thessalonians 2 NKJV

True elders point younger saints to walk worthy of Christ and be focused on God’s kingdom and glory.  Hirelings, nicolatians, personal kingdom builders, and those in bondage to the roman catholic spirit (even if they call themselves protestants) point to their hierarchy, their doctrine, their kingdoms, their glory.  Paul wants to steer the saints to God’s kingdom and glory and only references himself when it serves that end.  He does not want to control men so that they can’t celebrate the Lord’s supper without him or an elder present.  In fact, he warns about men who want to control others like that, who cause divisions, who don’t follow the patter of the apostles.  He tells us to mark and avoid such people.

Counterfeit affections

Give your time, money, and talents to Jesus to serve Him and His body before it is to late.  Jesus did not die so you could spread the name of your religious organization across the community and globe.  Serving a ‘Nazerene church’, ‘AOG church’, ‘Methodist church’, etc is like a woman serving intimate things to a man that is not her husband.    There is no more room for this third party in the kingdom of God than there is in a marriage.

Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life.   Religious organizations [edit] are a subtle form of harlotry.  Be zealous therefore and repent.

John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

My son and I were recently approached by Frank in a local parking lot.  Frank was out evangelizing for the watchtower religious organization.  I told him about all that Christ had done for me and asked what he had to offer me that I didn’t already have in Christ… his answer was the organization that he loved, don’t remember the exact words but that is pretty close.  I told him I loved Jesus and hated man made religious organizations, especially those that preached an accursed gospel.  He shook my hand and departed after implying that I was not being loving.

Love for God is pure, love for the brethren is pure, yet  love for a third party institution is as defiled as having a 3rd lover in a marriage.  To be fair to Frank, in the end he is not that much different than the average baptist, lutheran, methodist, nazarene, etc.  He may have slightly more abhorrent beliefs of course.  I do plan to add this tract to my collection though for the future.

“pastor” deyoung seems to have no more clue what the “church” is than the pope does. To him, the Biblical church is just blah, blah, blah, while the roman catholic like institution he is a leader in is very important to attend every week.

Shameful. I am glad Jesus is leading His saints out of these harlot reformed places to gather together on equal ground as brothers and sisters in His body.

An honest collector of precious gems would much rather have a small but pure diamond than a large counterfeit rock.  It would be good if professed followers of the Lord Jesus Christ had this same mind.  I have seen institutional church members ‘exhort’ a believer who has fled from their camp and is ‘only’ meeting with a small group of others by using Hebrews 10:25 many times.  Is this not as preposterous as a man with a large counterfeit diamond exhorting a man with a small pure one.  Let’s even say a true believer is out in the wilderness for a season alone (no longer than necessary I pray).   It would still be an extreme absurdity for someone in the system to play the  Hebrews 10:25 card.

Better a small gem fashioned by the Lord than a large fake fashioned by the whims of carnal religious men.

Or to put it another way, in northern Michigan you would much rather have a small but well built cabin to ride out out the coming winter storm than a large impressive looking one that collapses under the weight of the snow.  All of men’s religious kingdoms are destined to perish because only what Jesus died for will remain and He did not die for any of the counterfeit, carnal, garbage that is so precious in the eyes of undiscerning men.  Likewise, even in a true believers life all of our works will be tried by fire.  Everything that can be shaken will be shaken.

If there are two things we should be as right as possible on they are how to live as the Lord calls us to as individual believers and then how to live as the Lord calls us collectively together in Jesus name in our day.  It would not be an exaggeration to state that these two truths are almost completely leavened with doctrines of men and demons in our generation.

I recently came across this article about why people ‘go to church’.  You will not have to read far to see most aren’t qualified to answer as they don’t have a clue what ‘church’ is.  Imagine a conversation where the man with the large counterfeit diamond explains how valuable it is to him then read the replies here ~ http://christianity.about.com/u/ua/readerstoriesadvice/Going-To-Church.htm

Let’s say I can lift one-hundred pounds.

If you were to ask me to catch a million pound weight I would have to tell you that such a weight would crush me and there is no possible way to catch it. If you then asked me to catch a half million pound weight I would have to answer in the same way. Even if you lower it down to a hundred-thousand pounds, it makes no difference, it may as well be a million still. When we are dealing with weights that are so far beyond a legitimate amount the exact numbers no longer are relevant.

Take the various sects of modern christendom. They are all, for the most part, so far outside of legitimate new testament christianity the differences are no longer that relevant. Lets say rome is full of a million pounds of demonic garbage. The orthodox, jw’s mormons, sda’s are up there too around the million pound range. Then we have the hundred-thousand pounds of evangelical protestantism which seems so much more bearable compared to the others. Yet instead of comparing it to the others it is important to compare it to the new testament. In that way it is easily seen as a heavy yoke that the Lord never intended for any of his called out ones to carry.

I admit there are places that would identify with evangelical protestantism where the weight is much lighter, with more true believers in there, but it is still much too heavy of a yoke. There may even be places in the rcc that only weigh a quarter million, but that too is an unbearable burden.

“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” -Jesus

The only true place of rest is in Jesus, but harlot church is not happy with that and seeks to seduce us into believing we need Jesus AND her.  Beware of such places. [edit]

The market-bell

Posted: July 4, 2013 in harlot church, quotes

The earthly spirit of the priests wounded my life; and when I heard the bell toll to call people together to the steeple-house, it struck at my life; for it was just like a market-bell, to gather people together, that the priest might set forth his ware for sale. Oh, the vast sums of money that are gotten by the trade they make of selling the Scriptures, and by their preaching, from the highest bishop to the lowest priest! What one trade else in the world is comparable to it? notwithstanding the Scriptures were given forth freely, and Christ commanded His ministers to preach freely, and the prophets and apostles denounced judgment against all covetous hirelings and diviners for money.
